- Standard

- Increases
the time a standard UPS can supply power to the rack during
an AC-in power loss. Tests have shown that the Extended
Battery Tray increases the duration of the UPS power from
10 to 24 minutes, with an 80% load.
- Enhanced
air flow within the rack
- All
nine fan motors meet Federal Specification CC-M-1807A,
and include double-sealed. or doubled-shielded precision
ball bearings which meet Federal Specification FF-B-171A.
Fan tray is separately fused.
- Battery
tray with sixteen batteries (dual strings of six (6) ETI
and/or eight (8) Clary). Each battery string is individually
fuse protected.
Battery/fan tray has a blind mating connector to automatically
disconnect when unit is unseated within the rack.
- Unit
was designed to allow easy retrofit to existing racks
onboard ship with access to front and rear of rack only.

SAIC’s Tactical Information Systems Division (TISD)
has introduced a compact Extended Battery Tray with Fan Tray
designed to mount in GCCS-M and ISNS standard, dual isolation
racks with no cable adaptation or additional cabling required.
The tray utilizes three rack units, is ruggedized for shipboard
and other extreme military environments, and is designed to
operate with either the ETI, 1.5Kva (72 volt DC) UPS or the
Clary, 2.0Kva (96 volt DC) UPS.
