Rugged Hyperion


SAIC engineers have designed a plug and play, rugged rack mounted monitor for use in existing Navy C4ISR Systems. The Rugged Hyperion fits where previous color monitors have been deployed, and can replace any existing DTC-2 (GDM-1932/GDM-1950), Telos TAC-3 20e01, SAIC TAC-4 Eagle and Magellan, or the SAIC Saturn monitor. The Rugged Hyperion utilizes existing slides, slidemount brackets, and cabling. It accommodates fleet video accessories normally mounted to the rear of the monitor (VABES, VDA, etc.) while maintaining the existing look and feel, but with improved performance and capability.

Mounting bracketry for attaching the slides to a rack or other enclosure are not included in the slide kit.

The Rugged Hyperion qualified for Grade A Certification in the GCCS-M Rack Configuration Environmental Blast Test performed on August 23, 2002.
