SAIC’s Tactical Information Systems Division has developed
a rugged, high resolution color 19 inch (19” viewable)
Active-Matrix LCD Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) display,
featuring low weight, minimal power consumption and flexible
space utilization. The Rugged Scorpion-IV is the newest release
of the Scorpion family of rugged flat panel displays. The
Rugged Scorpion-IV is designed to meet the harsh environmental
requirements found aboard surface and subsurface ships, wheeled
and tracked vehicles, and airborne C41SR display applications.
It’s predecessor, the Rugged Scorpion-II, achieved MIL-STD
901D Grade A certification when tested onboard Navy GCCS-M
racks. Employing a multitude of mounting techniques with adjustable
viewing angles and enhanced back lighting, the FPD-19 provides
unsurpassed clarity and crispness in a thin Auto-Scan display.

number of locking positions from 0° to 100°. Uses
a release lever on the front to adjust panel’s angle.
