| FEATURES:
The
SAIC Rugged 4 RU SunFire V240 assembly can be ordered with
or without rack mount slides already integrated with the
server. Included with the SAIC Rugged 4 RU SunFire V240
design is an internal ruggedization kit that provides additional
internal support for improved stabilization of components
such as RAM and peripheral devices. This internal ruggedization
kit helps reduce the danger of system degradation due to
a physical shock or vibration event in a commercial, industrial,
or tactical environment. The SAIC Rugged 4 RU SunFire V240
server comes ready for installation into the Navy’s
existing shipboard equipment cabinets and enclosures of
at least 20” deep and that follow EIA 310 guidelines.
The SAIC Rugged 4 RU SunFire V240 server is designed to
mount flush or recessed within a rack or enclosure as required,
and is currently meeting the rigorous requirements of the
GCCS-M program.

has integrated a commercial SUN Microsystems SunFire V240
server into a 4 Rack Unit (RU) high (7”) by 19.7”
deep chassis assembly originally designed for installation
into shipboard rack enclosures. This ruggedized server assembly
is also ideal for installing into harsh commercial, industrial,
and tactical environments. The SAIC Rugged 4 RU SunFire V240
supports up to two UltraSparc IIIi 1 GHz processors, 1 MB
integrate L2 cache, 4 GB of RAM (8 GB Max), up to four 73
GB Ultra160 hard drives, four 10/100/1000 ports, two USB ports,
one slim-line DVD-ROM, one DB9 Serial port, one RJ45 Network
management port, one RJ45 Serial management port, three PCI
slots, XVR-100 graphics card, and dual hot swappable power
supplies.
