its standard ruggedization procedures, SAIC adapted the
B2600 into a sturdy 3RU drawer-style mount, then mounted
it in an enclosed desktop case. The B2600 Desktop Mounting
Kit is designed to meet MIL-STD light and heavyweight shock

B2600 offers a powerful processing capability with a PA-86000
processor that runs at 500 MHz, and 120 MHz SDRAM with capacity
to run up to 4 GB. The B2600 offers ample storage with two
internal Ultra 2 SCSI LVD drives along with four PCI slots.
The B2600 is equipped with an integrated CD ROM and an on-board
10/100 LAN interface.

Engineers have developed a rugged desktop kit for HP’s
entry level Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) B2600 Workstation.
This rugged desktop kit is designed to secure SAIC’s
HP B2600 Rugged Mounting Kit (SAIC Part Number 164-32000)
and the B2600 HP-UX compatible workstation to a kevlok or
Navy desktop. The B2600 Desktop Mounting Kit also includes
mounting locations for optional 3.5” and 5.25” devices.
