with the SAIC Rugged B2600 workstation mounting kit is an internal
ruggedization kit that provides additional support for improved
stabilization of components such as RAM and peripheral devices.
The internal ruggedization kit helps reduce the danger of system
degradation due to a physical shock or vibration event in a commercial,
industrial, or tactical environment. The kit can be purchased
separately of a HP B2600 workstation or as a completely integrated
product from SAIC. The SAIC Rugged B2600 workstation comes ready
for installation into the Navy’s existing shipboard racks
or enclosures that follow EIA 310 guidelines. An optional DC current
variant allows cost-effective integration into airborne applications
is available.

SAIC has designed a rack mounting kit for a commercial HP
B2600 workstation that will allow it to be installed into
shipboard rack enclosures. The workstation is also ideal for
installing into harsh commercial and industrial environment
when the SAIC rack mounting kit is installed. The SAIC Rugged
B2600 workstation supports a single PA-8600 500 MHz CPU with
1 MB of cache, up to 4 GB of system RAM, up to two 146 GB
Ultra2 Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI hard drives, one
10/100 BaseT port, two USB ports, CD-ROM drive, two serial
ports, one parallel port, four PCI slots, HP Visualize FXE
graphics card, and a single power supply
