Rugged Rack Mounted HP C Series Processors
 
FEATURES:

Drawer Mounted: A drawer provides a secure mounting platform for the C3000/C3600. The drawer utilizes heavy duty slides plus a connector interface access panel for the keyboard/trackball. These same drawer mounts also are used to support two ("dual") processor suites in the same rack.

Front Panel: The kit includes a standard EIA 19” panel with hinged media access door and a Processor Status LCD viewing window.

Transition I/O: The kit provides a transition interface panel presenting BNC RGB feed through video connections and supplies the transistion adapter from USB to PS/2 keyboards and pointing devices.

Cables: Each individual kit contains one video cable, USB to PS/2 adapter with cables and RJ45 Ethernet to Fiber Optic LAN adapter with cables.

Serviceable: Rapid maintenance times of less than 20 minutes are achieved by removing the front panel which is secured by finger tight pawl fasteners, allowing access to:

  1. The main CPU and mother board module.
  2. The media devices module.

The kit allows the transition I/O panel to be removed to accommodate easier servicing of the rear mounted PCI cards while the C3000/C3600 is mounted in the equipment cabinet.

Mounting brackets for attaching the slides to a rack or other enclosure are not included in the slide kit.

SAIC Engineers have designed a rugged retrofit kit for integrating both of Hewlett Packard's HP-UX Visualize series Models C3000 and C3600 Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) computer systems into existing shipboard equipment cabinets. The kit provides a “plug and play”, secure, and stable mounting for these HP-UX computers into existing operational shipboard equipment cabinets.
