| The
SAIC assembly incorporates a front face plate in the design
that provides a drop down window for viewing and maintaining
the Hard Drives in the server. This design takes into consideration
that the unit is installed in a positively pressurized rack,
preventing dust and other materials from entering the rack
and damaging components. The face plate allows for clean
filtered air (from the rack) to enter the Compaq DL 380
G4 at the bottom of the mounting kit’s faceplate.
SAIC has added EMI gasketing and an EMI filter to the viewing
window to help mitigae the EMI properties of the COTS server.
The
rugged SAIC Compaq DL 380 G4 is designed to meet MIL-STD
light and heavyweight shock testing. SAIC also offers a
Common Access Card (CAC) reader option that can be included
with the assembly or purchased and installed seperately
with a rack mount kit or as a stand alone item. SAIC offers
a USB and a Serial CAC reader for installation with this
product

for a commercial Compaq DL 380 G4 server and an optional rack
mount and internal ruggedization kit for customers who already
own a Compaq DL 380 G4. The kit was designed as a replacement
for the Compaq DL 380 G3, provides a rugged rack mount solution
for Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS) 32” deep
racks and Global Command and Control Systems - Maritime (GCCS-M)
racks. The server is also ideal for installation into harsh
commercial, industrial, and other tactical environments with
the SAIC assembly or kits installed.
