HP Rugged SuperDome
 
FEATURES:

Each Rugged SuperDome cabinet supports up to 32x 8700 Series 875MHz (or greater) RISC processors with upto 8+Gb memory per processor, as well as over 30 high-speed PCI expansion bays to support large I/O requirements.

Additionally, each HP SuperDome cabinet can handle multiple Operating System instances in a variety of configurations to support a multiple data processing requirements and clustering configurations. The re-design of the Rugged SuperDome was required in order to modify the system to meet rigorous MIL Standard Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT).

Once the re-design and first-article prototype was complete, SAIC successfully tested the prototype in accordance with the rigorous MIL Standard EQT methods. Upon completion of EQT, SAIC began the full production and integration of the Rugged SuperDome Systems, which continues to be an ongoing successful integration effort for the HP customer and the SAIC TISD integration division.

 
SuperDome


SAIC designed, integrated and tested the HP Rugged SuperDome System under contract to the HP services division for a specific DOD program. This project included the complete re-design of the Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) HP SuperDome cabinet and internal modules.
